First run

Install ParkShelf with fewer surprises.

These are the first-run steps for the live Windows x64, Windows on Arm, and macOS builds. They cover direct-download prompts, hotkeys, and the right package for your computer.

Windows x64

  1. Download the Windows x64 installer from the ParkShelf homepage.
  2. Run the ParkShelf installer and follow the prompts.
  3. If SmartScreen appears for the first direct-download release, choose More info, then Run anyway.
  4. Use Ctrl+Alt+P to park the active window and Ctrl+Alt+U to restore the last parked window.

Windows on Arm

  1. Download the Windows on Arm installer from the ParkShelf homepage.
  2. Run the ParkShelf installer and follow the prompts.
  3. If Windows asks for confirmation because the app is new, choose More info, then Run anyway.
  4. Use Ctrl+Alt+P to park the active window and Ctrl+Alt+U to restore the last parked window.

macOS

  1. Download the macOS DMG from the ParkShelf homepage.
  2. Open the DMG and move ParkShelf to Applications.
  3. Launch ParkShelf and follow any macOS permission prompts shown by the app.
  4. Use ⌥P to park the active window, ⌥R to restore the last parked window, and ⌥⇧R to restore all. Pro users can record a custom Park shortcut in Settings.
